LATAM Payroll Specialist
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive LATAM Payroll Specialist to support and handle Payroll and HR operational processes for 5 countries within the LATAM Region, including Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico, covering around 200 employees. In this role, you will contribute to driving efficiency and compliance while helping to improve our operations. Beyond traditional practices, we seek someone eager to embrace automation and standardization of processes to improve payroll management.
ABOUT THE TEAM
As a member of our team, you will:
- Assist in organizing and streamlining Payroll and HR processes, ensuring effective support for daily operations.
- Carry out payroll closing activities, ensuring accuracy, timely payments, tax compliance, and alignment with the accounting team.
- Support adherence to local labor legislation in LATAM countries and assist with accessory obligations in compliance with SOX requirements.
- Maintain communication with the third-party payroll supplier, ensuring approvals, checks, and templates are aligned with core HR processes.
- Collaborate with Legal to identify potential risks and implement best practices in HR policies.
- Monitor the application of labor legislation across the region.
- Handle Personnel Administration processes, such as admissions, vacations, terminations, transfers, leaves, benefits, social charges, and accounting.
- Assist in preparing management reports and updating policies as needed.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have advanced or fluent Spanish, which is mandatory for this role.
- You have an intermediate to advanced level of English (will be tested).
- You have at least 5 years of experience in Corporate Payroll and HR processes, including knowledge international country
- regulations and familiarity with of Brazilian payroll.
- Your expertise includes Payroll Accounting and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- You are skilled at prioritizing tasks and multitasking, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- You must be available to learn and work with other countries and regions.
- The work is remote, but availability is required to go in person when necessary, starting during the probation period.
