Get it done: liaise closely with our customers’ developers, write code and make successful Backbase implementations happen.

Meet the job

Your goal is to seamlessly integrate the Backbase platform into our customers’ systems. Implementations generally take around half a year, during which you will find yourself traveling to build relationships and liaise with developers on-site. During projects, you take on the expert role for anything related to backend and bring home components that can be reused or developed further.

Backbase speaks Agile software development, just like you. You will write beautiful and smart code, run tests and coach a team of developers on the client and partner side. You will also provide training to those who work with the platform. You know when to be creative and when to consult your colleagues. Because you will be working on a global scale, you easily blend into any work culture.

The pressure is always on, the clock is constantly ticking, and customer expectations are sky-high. With your confidence and skills, you meet and exceed customer desires. You will encounter situations that demand prompt, yet smart actions. You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty.

  ● You have at minimum 6+ years of experience in developing an enterprise product and maintaining it through its complete lifecycle;
  ● You are not concerned about interacting with technical stakeholders using your products and helping them to understand how your product works;
  ● You have significant experience in developing scalable solutions;
  ● You have strong experience with both relational databases and other storage types;
  ● Beyond just relying on Hibernate, you understand SQL and know how to develop resilient and performant software solutions;
  ● You are very familiar with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot;
  ● You have evidence-based experience with Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes;
  ● Your code is clean, elegant and easy to grasp;
  ● You grok different types of testing and know when to use them. Your unit test coverage is immaculate;
  ● You know REST like the back of your hand;
  ● As our product is microservices-based, it’s important that you have experience with working in such an environment, and that you are able to think holistically about the system in terms of resilience and deployment topology;
  ● Your understanding and ability to communicate in English is excellent.
