What you'll be doing:

  • Working with a small team delivering cloud data solutions to a variety of stakeholder and business units.
  • Analysing business requirement to design and implement the required technical solution.
  • Developing standalone and integrated data solutions employing cloud technologies.
  • Identify the most efficient way to implement the required technical solution.
  • Identify opportunities for reuse and standardization so that solution can be built and maintain as efficiently as possible.
  • Ensuring that all solutions are secure and have a minimal visible footprint.
  • Identify areas for code and process improvements.
  • Working with the team to design solutions and working practices.
  • Identify new technologies that will enhance the capability of the team and the organisation.
  • Work closely with engineering and QA resources to support ongoing development.
  • Perform post-development Quality Assurance testing to ensure functionality has been developed to required specifications.
  • Support Product Owner & Technical Lead as key advisor by identifying system efficiencies and functionality enhancements that should be considered.
  • Provide operational support for business users.

 

What you'll need:

  • Education:  Combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet essential duties and required competencies.
  • Personality andWorking Practice: Team player, with good communication skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail and the ability to think about the big picture.

 

  • Essential Experience and Knowledge: 

 

  • 5+ years software development using C#, .NET Core and .NET Web API.
  • 3+ years of cloud-native application development and continuous delivery patterns (Azure).
  • Using both SQL & NoSQL technologies
  • Experience with Azure Data Engineering Stack (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Event Hub, Storage, Function app)
  • Good understanding of other Azure services
    • Good understanding of Data Warehouse Architecture, Data Modelling and design concepts
    • Knowledge of PowerShell, Source Control, ARM templates, JSON and deployment automation.
    • Experience working with operational programming tasks, such as version control, CI/CD, testing and quality assurance.
    • Strong SQL skills to data Validations and data profiling.
  • Building Microservices in an AKS environment include readiness probes and integration with azure monitor.
  • Understanding of Message Based Architectures
  • API design and development and documentation (REST, OpenAPI, GraphQL)
  • Authentication and authorisation methods and technologies (OAuth, OKTA, OPA)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban)

 

  • Desirable Experience and Knowledge: 
    • Design and development of ETL pipelines that operate on a variety of sources, such as APIs, FTP sites, cloud-based blob stores, and databases (relational and non-relational) using Azure Data Factory.
    • API Integrations (M365 JS API / SharePoint / Graph API)
    • Understanding of PowerBi and its integration with data sources
    • Experience of Terraform for AWS/GCP cloud providers.
    • ITIL principles and these can be used within the team.

 

  • Languages: very good English skills, any other language is a plus
