Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize data-intensive user interfaces that power Yalo's core components.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
  • Work alongside backend engineers to ensure seamless integration with data microservices.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
  • Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and advocate for their adoption where relevant.
  • Mentor junior frontend engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications across various devices and browsers.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of frontend development experience.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and ReactJS is essential.
  • Deep understanding of modern web development practices and frameworks.
  • Experience with data visualization libraries or tools is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with frontend build tools, such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in UI/UX and design principles.
  • Ability to write clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience creating reusable and composable UI component libraries
  • Knowledge on data visualization libraries and components (like Nivo)
  • Experience with other frontend frameworks or libraries.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a notable presence in the developer community.
  • Knowledge of server-side processes or languages, enhancing collaboration with backend teams.
