Partnerships Manager, ANZ

Sydney
  • Accelerate Zip’s growth by sourcing, securing, and scaling strategic partnerships
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing partners that are Payment Service Providers, eCommerce Platforms and Vertical SaaS Platforms
  • Work flexibly from our beautiful Sydney or Melbourne office

Start your journey with us

As our Partnerships Manager for Australia & New Zealand, you’ll be the go-to expert on all things partnerships at Zip. You will play a critical role in accelerating Zip’s growth by sourcing, securing, and scaling strategic partnerships across payment platforms, ecommerce providers, and financial ecosystems.

You’ll drive merchant acquisition and total transaction volume growth by identifying high-impact opportunities, deepening relationships with key partners, developing & delivering on your Go-To-Market strategy and leading the internal execution needed to scale these partnerships. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring strong commercial instincts, stakeholder management and the ability to turn strategy into action.

Interesting problems you will get to solve:

  • Develop, drive & deliver on your partner go-to-market strategy to do scale merchant acquisition
  • Source and secure new strategic partnerships aligned to Zip’s growth priorities
  • Build and lead commercial conversations with decision-makers at target partners
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing partners that are Payment Service Providers, eCommerce Platforms and Vertical SaaS Platforms.
  • Run QBRs, co-develop joint roadmaps, and facilitate account mapping with BD
  • Use partner and merchant data to identify performance gaps and growth opportunities
  • Create pitch decks, artefacts required to bring both internal and external stakeholders onto the journey
  • Translate commercial deals into clear scopes of work and internal action plans
  • Track pipeline and forecast partner-driven growth via Salesforce
  • Champion internal readiness through training, process improvement, and documentation

Note that this role includes working with our global partners in different timezones, either early mornings or late evenings. We believe in flexibility so we will work with you to set your hours.

What you’ll bring to the team

You’re a natural relationship builder, commercially savvy, and know how to get things done. You’ve worked with or within tech companies, payments, SaaS, or fintech - and most importantly you understand how partnerships can create scalable growth.

You're just as comfortable pitching to a C-level exec as you are rolling up your sleeves to launch a go-to-market campaign with a partner. You bring curiosity, creativity, and strategic thinking to every conversation and don’t shy away from complexity or ambiguity.

  • Experience in partnerships, channel environment, business development, GTM or strategy roles
  • Demonstrated experience in partner co-marketing, account mapping, and QBRs to grow joint value
  • Excellent slide writing and storytelling ability, comfortable building partner pitches and commercial proposals
  • Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and scaling strategic partnerships that drive commercial outcomes
  • An understanding of platform ecosystems (e.g. Payment Service Providers, eCommerce Platforms, ISVs etc) and how integrations create mutual value
  • Proven ability to manage partner lifecycles: from onboarding and enablement to growth and optimisation
  • Ability to manage cross-functional internal stakeholders and drive end-to-end execution
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate data into actionable growth initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Developed & delivered on your own Go-To-Market strategy
  • A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
  • An aptitude for identifying and managing risks. Whether you are a People Manager or an Individual Contributor, we are all leaders at Zip, therefore effective risk management is important to how we run our business and part of all our roles.
  • Our values in your DNA: Customer First, Own It, Stronger Together and Change the Game
