The Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our expanding accounting team. As a Senior Accountant, you will support the monthly and quarterly accounting close process and work closely with the Accounting Manager and other team members to build accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and ensure compliance in foreign jurisdictions.
Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.
The current range for this role is $110,000 - $173,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You’ll Do
- Perform General Accounting functions, including operation of the general ledger system, create and upload journal entries, month-end close work and account reconciliations for various accounts
- Prepare and manage monthly accruals, in partnership with the Financial Planning and Analysis team, AP team, and business partners to ensure proper month end cutoff and capturing of expenses
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance to support management decision-making
- Oversee and manage the overall financials of a few subsidiaries, as assigned, including monitoring internal controls, in-depth analysis of financial performance, and ensuring compliance
- Overseeing and managing the reconciliation process between intercompany accounts
- Collaborate with auditors during audits, addressing audit findings and ensuring timely resolution
- Continually identify and implement efficient procedures and processes
- Support special projects and initiatives as required by senior management
- Assist in opening of new office locations
- Analyze and reconcile foreign exchange (FX) impacts on both Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts to verify the accuracy
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields. CPA is preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skill
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. NetSuite), and advanced Excel skills
