Role: Inside Sales Engineer 

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Engineer supports day-to-day sales operations by partnering closely with Sales Engineers to drive business success. This role is responsible for managing inbound inquiries, gathering key project and customer information, and assisting with a wide range of sales-related activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and collaborative, with a strong ability to support technical sales efforts in a fast-paced environment 

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as a technical advisor and product expert throughout the HVAC sales process.  
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and customers to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.  
  • Utilize selection software and technical tools to identify and propose optimal HVAC systems based on project specifications and site conditions.  
  • Prepare detailed proposals, submittals, and performance documentation to support sales efforts.  
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers, contractors, and consultants.  
  • Provide pre-sale and limited post-sale support, including product guidance and troubleshooting.  
  • Assist with pricing, quoting, and ensuring accurate product configurations.  
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to develop custom solutions when needed.  
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, proposals, and feedback.  
  • Stay current on industry trends, codes, and emerging HVAC technologies.  

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field.  
  • 1–3 years of experience in HVAC applications, technical sales, or sales support.  
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and commercial/industrial applications.  
  • Familiarity with HVAC design principles, building specifications, and relevant standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, etc.).  
  • Proficiency with HVAC selection/software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.  
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop effective, customer-focused solutions.  
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Experience in HVAC manufacturing or working with sales/distribution channels is a plus. 

Estimated compensation: $68,000–79,000/yr with flexibility based on experience and skills.
