About the Role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager who combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership skills. In this role, you will lead dynamic engineering teams, guide architectural decisions, and drive technical excellence. You will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, helping the team align technical roadmaps with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and manage a team of talented engineers, setting clear goals and providing mentorship to support their career growth.
- Define and drive software architecture and design patterns to ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product management and cross-functional teams to align technical efforts with business objectives.
- Oversee the development and delivery of complex software projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality execution.
- Implement and optimize software development processes, utilizing Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
- Manage technical debt, balancing it effectively with feature development and innovation.
- Ensure best practices in code quality, including comprehensive code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Identify technical risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them proactively.
- Strategically align technical initiatives with market trends and company goals.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10-14 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years managing teams of 8-10 engineers.
- Proven expertise in software architecture and design, including knowledge of scalable systems and design patterns.
- Deep technical background with hands-on coding experience guiding technical decision-making.
- Strong project management skills, including setting timelines, assigning tasks, and tracking progress.
- Experience with technical debt management, performance optimization, and code quality assurance.
- Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas across teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Preferred Skills
- Experience transitioning from monolithic to microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of advanced security practices and performance engineering.
