About the Team:
At Aspire, we understand the critical role that legal guidance plays in our business strategy and operations. Our Legal Team is at the forefront of driving licensing strategies, managing compliance risks, and providing sound legal advice to guide Aspire’s strategy. By providing sound legal rationale, our Legal team is vital in contributing to strategic decision-making processes, ensuring that our operations align with legal requirements and best practices.
About the Role
You will be part of the commercial & investment department, managing commercial support, network support, ops support, corporate finance and investment, and vendor management.
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to various departments, including network, ops, growth, and finance, on a wide range of legal matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate complex agreements (including credit agreements, financial partnership agreements, vendor agreements, transaction documents, etc)
- Develop, implement and continuously update internal legal standard operating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and mitigate legal risks.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes in the fintech and payment sector
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law from a reputable university, and admission to the Indonesian bar association
- At least 5-7 years of legal experience gained in reputable law firm(s) and/or financial institution(s)
- Fluent in English and Bahasa, written and spoken
- Proven experience in general M&A/corporate and credit transactions, with a focus on the fintech sector
- In-house experience with a payments/fintech company preferred
- Experience in working with regulatory authorities in the fintech and payments sector will be highly regarded
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, drafting, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to evaluate fact situations, identify legal/compliance issues, analyse and understand regulations, and recommend appropriate courses of action
- Willingness to take on responsibility for matters beyond core expertise
- Proficiency in legal research tools and contract management software
- Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
