2025 AuctaneU Summer Internship Program
Applicants must be currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university
Interviews: On a rolling basis through March, 2025
First Day of onsite Orientation: June 3, 2025
Last day of the Internship Program: August 7, 2025
This is a paid internship
Ability to work 40 hours per week (except for the week of July 4th)
Position is hybrid in Austin, TX (Monday & Friday remotely & Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in-office)
Are you passionate about business strategy and the world of mergers and acquisitions (M&A)? Auctane, a leading mailing and shipping company and portfolio company of Thoma Bravo, is seeking a motivated summer intern to join our dynamic M&A team. In this exciting role, you will gain valuable hands-on experience supporting all aspects of the M&A lifecycle, from deal sourcing and evaluation to due diligence and integration planning.
What will you be doing?
- Provide pre-close planning support to various Auctane teams and stakeholders
- Participate in target company due diligence to evaluate key issues, assess integration challenges, and develop preliminary integration execution plans
- Craft integration strategies that align with acquisition rationale and operating model
- Plan and facilitate regular weekly diligence & integration meetings with workstream leaders. Provide relevant and timely reporting, metrics and analysis through weekly updates
- Document detailed integration plans with activities, timelines, resources, and costs required to achieve deal specific value drivers
- Present regular integration updates and ensure Auctane senior leadership is aware of critical issues/risks and drive them to resolution with constant and consistent objectivity
- Support refinement & continuous improvement of the overall Auctane M&A process and methodology to continue to drive adoption and consistency of approach across the organization
What are we looking for?
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university
- Previous experience in M&A, finance, or consulting preferred
- High level of operational focus, strong analytical skill, attention to details. Ability to connect high level strategy to tactical actions
- Advanced program management skills with demonstrated capability in dynamic and ambiguous environments
- Exceptional emotional intelligence and ability to influence, motivate, and challenge stakeholders at all levels across the enterprise
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
