About the Role

We are seeking a Legal Specialist to join our Growth Group Legal team. This role is ideal for an ambitious, curious, and proactive legal professional who is eager to grow in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multicultural environment. The Legal Specialist will support a broad range of legal and commercial matters, with a primary focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements and providing practical legal support to business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to improving contracting processes, templates, and other scalable tools that support the business effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, revise, and provide practical legal guidance on a broad range of commercial agreements, including services agreements, SaaS and technology agreements, partnership arrangements, licensing agreements, NDAs, amendments, order forms, and other business-critical documents.
  • Compare contracts and document versions carefully, identify deviations from preferred positions, spot legal and commercial risks, and prepare clear summaries and recommendations for internal stakeholders and legal leadership.
  • Support the Legal Manager in day-to-day contract review and negotiation matters, helping manage workflow, track issues, and ensure that requests are handled accurately, efficiently, and in line with business priorities.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Product, Procurement, Finance, and other business teams to understand the commercial context, contracting needs, and operational realities behind each request.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to clarify requests, gather missing information, explain legal issues in a practical way, and help move matters forward in a solution-oriented manner.
  • Assist in the legal support of new business initiatives, products, and commercial models by analyzing contracting structures, understanding applicable documentation schemes and formats, and helping translate business proposals into workable legal arrangements.
  • Review contracting requests with strong attention to detail, including consistency across documents, drafting accuracy, use of templates, defined terms, approval requirements, and version control.
  • Help ensure alignment with internal legal policies, contracting standards, fallback positions, and escalation processes, while exercising sound judgment on when to seek guidance or elevate issues.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of legal templates, playbooks, clause libraries, and internal guidance materials to increase consistency and scalability across the contracting process.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve, simplify, standardize, and automate legal and contracting workflows, including through better processes, tools, templates, trackers, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Approach unfamiliar matters with curiosity, ownership, and adaptability, demonstrating willingness to learn new business models, legal frameworks, and regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage competing priorities and work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality drafting, responsiveness, and strong professional judgment. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (Bacharel em Direito) from an accredited Brazilian university and active OAB certification.
  • Legal experience in contract law and commercial legal matters, with strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and clarity in legal writing. Prior experience in technology-related matters is an advantage, but not required.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, and intermediate Spanish, both written and spoken, with willingness to continue developing language skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess legal and regulatory issues and translate them into practical guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across functions and cultures.
  • High level of initiative, curiosity, adaptability, and ownership, particularly when dealing with new projects or unfamiliar subject matter.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under deadlines while maintaining high-quality work product.
  • Strong interest in working in an international and cross-border legal environment.
