CET Spec Check Auditor (Commercial Interiors)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CET Spec Check Auditor to support our US-based client’s commercial furniture dealership operations, representing leading brands such as Haworth, Steelcase, Teknion, and others. This role is responsible for running and reviewing Spec Check in CET, validating furniture specifications, finishes, pricing, and technical configurations prior to order entry. The ideal candidate has hands-on dealership experience and understands the end-to-end workflow from CET design to final order submission.

This position is critical in preventing costly specification errors and ensuring seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run and review Spec Check reports in CET Designer, Project Spec.
  • Validate part numbers, finish codes, electrical components, and pricing accuracy.
  • Cross-check CET drawings against furniture specifications and quotes.
  • Identify missing components, incompatible options, or technical conflicts.
  • Review manufacturer quotes and acknowledgments (ACKs) for discrepancies.
  • Confirm applications meet manufacturer guidelines and technical requirements.
  • Ensure consistency between floor plans, elevations, finish legends, and final specs.
  • Collaborate with designers and project managers to correct specification issues.
  • Support order entry accuracy before submission to manufacturers.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of manufacturer product lines and pricing structures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial furniture dealership environment.
  • Hands-on experience using CET Designer.
  • Experience running and interpreting Spec Check within CET.
  • Strong understanding of commercial furniture specification and order workflows.
  • Familiarity with major commercial manufacturers (Haworth, Steelcase, Teknion, etc.).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Adobe Acrobat (or similar PDF tools).
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
  • Amenable to working US business hours.
