Why Box needs you:

As the Engineering Manager for the Box Apps Consumer Experience team, you will lead a team of frontend and full stack engineers who are actively developing the user experiences for the end user consumers of Box Apps. Box Apps is a no-code application builder which enables our customers to develop content-centric line of business applications. These Apps today are built from a palette of metadata-powered content views, workflow automation tools, and the core Box functionality for secure content collaboration. The Consumer Experience team focuses on the aspects of Box Apps which have the broadest audience: the users of the Apps that our customers build. The first version of Box Apps was just released in early 2025, and we have an exciting roadmap of features to deliver which will make Box Apps even more of a focal point of Box’s Intelligent Content Management strategy. In this role you will collaborate closely with your peer Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and Product Designers to deliver high quality and modern web application experiences which delight our customers.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a team of experienced engineers in our Warsaw office
  • Help define the team’s roadmap and execution plans, and take ownership of project delivery
  • Develop team members through coaching and career planning,
  • Nurture a culture of engineering excellence and agility
  • Organize stand-ups, sprint planning, and technical discussions
  • Own the execution planning and reporting function for your team
  • Work with Product Management and other Engineering leaders to deliver compelling products
  • Represent Box Poland internally and externally

Who you are:

  • Ideally, you have over 2 years of experience as a software engineering manager, leading teams responsible for high-scale production services.
  • You possess at least 5 years of professional software development experience, contributing to the development of full-stack web applications and/or distributed systems.
  • You excel at aligning and executing new technical ideas, demonstrating an understanding of best practices.
  • Proven experience in driving effective execution with agile processes in a dynamic environment.
  • A people-oriented leader, capable of modelling and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Exceptional at communicating, passionate about technology and committed to raising the bar.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across different time zones is advantageous.
  • Proficient in English.
