Experience using kernel debugging tools such as KGDB, GDB, Perf, Ftrace, or SystemTap.
-
Hands-on experience integrating drivers with complex hardware architectures (e.g., PCIe, USB, networking hardware, storage devices).
-
Proficiency with Git and kernel build/configuration tools (e.g., Make, KBuild, Yocto, or Buildroot).
-
Ability to troubleshoot intricate system-level issues, analyze kernel logs, and propose effective performance improvements.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience documenting technical specifications.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience contributing to upstream Linux kernel community or maintaining open-source driver modules.
-
Familiarity with real-time Linux (RTOS), virtualization technologies (KVM, Xen), or security modules (SELinux, AppArmor).
-
Knowledge of hardware bring-up, board support packages (BSPs), or embedded Linux environments.
-
Experience working with ARM, x86, or RISC-V architectures.
-
Exposure to continuous integration workflows, automated kernel testing frameworks, or containerized environments.
-
Master’s degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline.
-
Experience working in regulated or performance-critical environments such as automotive, aerospace, telecom, or cloud platforms.
