Affiliate Overview
QED Therapeutics, an affiliate within BridgeBio Pharma, focuses on developing targeted treatments for FGFR-driven skeletal dysplasias, particularly Achondroplasia. Achondroplasia is the most common form of genetically driven short stature, which causes potentially debilitating medical complications. With our experimental therapeutic candidate, infigratinib, we seek to provide an option to children living with Achondroplasia and their families.
What You'll Do
The Director, Formulation Development, will join a lean team that enables the commercial and clinical supplies of Infigratinib. This individual will ensure the support of an efficient, uninterrupted supply of medicine by developing strategies to improve our CMC/Supply Chain function, play an operational role in the implementation of new methods, and serve as a key interface between the CMC/Supply Chain team and partners across the business (e.g., Commercial, FP&A, Accounting, Legal, BD, Management).
Responsibilities
Develop novel pediatric formulations for Infigratinib
- Partner with the CMC team to transition formulations into full development
- Drug Development and cross-functional leadership to ensure that the
developed formulation meets the requirements for clinical and commercial success
- Work and manage external formulation technology companies to develop novel formulations
- Ensure formulations are stable and have scalable, robust processes
- Minimize the biopharmaceutical differences between the new and commercial formulations to avoid bioequivalence studies
- Manage other scientists (formulation and analytical)
- Create and manage budgets to achieve project success
Where You'll Work
This is a U.S.-based remote role that will require quarterly, or as needed, visits to our San Francisco Office.
Who You Are
- Passion for getting lifesaving medicines into the hands of patients quickly, efficiently, and compliantly
- Master’s degree in chemistry/chemical engineering/pharmaceutics, or PhD preferred but not required
- Experience working with formulation technologies and suppliers
- Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable with ambiguity
- Proactive problem solver
- Fast (extremely fast) learner
- Strong communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence functional stakeholders to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure outstanding execution
- The ability to travel (up to 20% of the time) is required

Salary
$200,000 - $235,000 USD
