OUR TEAM

In Studio, we create ideas and bring them to life. We’re a multi-disciplined team, creating content for integrated marketing campaigns, brand experiences and brand identity. We currently have a team of around 40; a mix of Creatives, Brand and Digital Designers, Editors and Content Producers and Creative Project Managers, supplemented by freelancers when specialist skills are needed or workload dictates.

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Designer you have a keen interest in brands and communication with developing creative skills and a desire to improve and see your ideas brought to life across multiple touch points. You are creatively brave with a desire to push forward ideas and work closely with colleagues as part of a creative team. You have a broad outlook in your creative approach and a willingness to develop work across multiple channels and hone your craft. From print, to social, to experiential, your work can have many touchpoints and we’d want you to be open to developing across a broad spectrum of creativity.

You’ll always be part of a team and you can talk through your ideas clearly and with confidence. You need to be able to listen to feedback and act on it for the good of the project. Asking questions is important.  You will have curiosity and a desire to soak up ideas and feedback from wherever you can. We want to know your passion for design and creativity will see you explore the creative world around you, looking out for what’s hot and what’s not. To always be keen to learn new skills and unearth new technology.

The devil is in the detail and you’ll be expected to be thorough, articulate and well organised in your work. Attention matters and we want you to obsess over it.

We’ll look to you to have good organisational skills and manage your time and requested project
deadlines well.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

Client:

  • Creatively have the skill and imagination to produce original and outstanding work.
  • Ability to take a brief and interrogate it. Confidence in challenging or questioning it
    when necessary.
  • You have versatile creative abilities and interests which you use to excite and wow our wide variety of clients across a breadth of deliverables.
  • You have strong graphic design and typography skills, advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and ideally with some motion experience.
  • Able to come up with and develop your own ideas as well as assist in developing others.
  • Ability to take supportive and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to organise thinking and communicate ideas to colleagues.
  • Always be on the hunt for inspiration with a desire to educate yourself on emerging trends and skills.
  • Passionate, curious, and obsessive about the detail – you inspire others to value these traits too.
  • You can present ideas and concepts to clients in an articulate and engaging manner.

Commercial:

  • Ability to organise your day and manage your time effectively.
  • Understanding of production and how to bring your work to life.
    (artworking, to print production for example).
  • Attention to detail.

People & Culture:

  • Take direction from your line manager constructively and remain ready to learn.
  • Support junior colleagues and interns.
  • Take an active role in ideation and execution.
  • Actively support the creative processes and to take pride in the work.
  • Support Burson cultural initiatives such as Equall, Roots, Parent network
    and Big Night In etc.

OUR LONDON OFFICE

Burson employs over 450 people in the UK, and our stunning Southwark offices run over two floors as part of the larger WPP Campus, Rose Court. We have access to a beautiful roof terrace with panoramic views across London and a bar/restaurant area, which is a great spot for client meetings and socialising with the wider agency and other WPP OpCo’s.
