MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our Consumer & Brand team. The Senior Account Executive will work on a range of consumer campaigns and projects supporting integrated earned media relations strategy and execution.
You will manage day-to-day activities and tactical executions for the client ensuring that overall strategic vision is in line with the client’s objectives.
We are seeking someone who understands the consumer media space and its platforms, bringing a creative passion/forward thinking to media relations that elevate brand awareness among consumer target audiences.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual who can communicate effectively in Spanish, particularly for Hispanic media outreach, is creative in media strategy, and the ability to lead initiatives like event planning, media relations, and developing innovative pitches.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Support all day-to-day client activities, projects, and teams to build a trusted advisor relationship with clients
- Flesh out ideas as they relate to client objectives and learn how to bring them to life through presentations and written proposals
- Cultivate positive client presence in earned media through releases, contact, and responsiveness to inquiries/requests
- Develop strategic integrated campaigns including traditional earned media, digital/social and influencer communications
- Assist senior leaders in proposal writing and new business pitching
- Interview messaging creation and review of junior staff messaging
- Media list creation and final review of junior staff media lists
- Pitch creation (general, deals/holiday, seasonal, announcement, broadcast, etc.) and final reviewing of junior pitches
- Mid and top-tier media pitching (including national broadcast and executive interviews)
- Secure placements in mid and top-tier outlets
- Analytics – Create a dashboard of media trends, top editors covering industry category, uncover press opportunities on creative and forward-thinking topics not covered to date
- Conduct media relations training for junior staff
- Bring a sound and well-constructed media point-of-view and advice to clients
- Support new business development opportunities, creation of media audit and presentation slides, development of media headlines that tie back to creative ideas
- Strong written communication skills requiring little editing.
EXPERIENCE THAT CONTRIBUTES TO SUCCESS:
- 2-4 years of consumer media relations experience. PR agency experience preferred.
- Proven media relations skills and solid knowledge of consumer outlets (Focus: CPG, personal care, lifestyle, consumer health & wellness)
- Bilingual candidate who can communicate effectively in Spanish, particularly for Hispanic media outreach
- Current and forward-thinking pulse on pop culture trends
- Creativity – adaptable in quick-strike situations
- Experience working with integrated teams (social, paid, digital)
- Excellent generalist – aptitude to straddle media & account role
- Understanding of the integration of social media + traditional media
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong attention to detail
- Ability to push the envelope and think outside of the box

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $40,000 to $85,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
