Residential Security Sales Trainer

The Residential Sales Trainer plays a pivotal role in both building and delivering content to our growing team. The trainer has a direct impact delivering best-in-class service by helping with the onboarding and training of new hires, working daily with our Residential Sales teams.

Essential Functions

  • Create and facilitate training applicable to the Residential Sales teams  
  • Partner with department managers to identify ongoing training opportunities
  • Work closely with department managers and instructional design team to improve and develop content for new hire training and ongoing recursive training for both facilitator led and e-learning programs   
  • Proactively evaluate the success of all training programs through KPI’s  
  • Develop valid training assessment questions that correlate to learning objectives.  
  • Maintain training reports and support LMS management  
  • Provide updates to management regarding progress and performance of employees  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required 

  • Proven field sales experience
  • Field-based role requiring 25-50% travel, with flexibility to be away for consecutive days
  • Ability to share personal experiences and provide relevant examples during training
  • Demonstrate flexibility and aptitude to learn, process and effectively implement new policies, and procedures as corporate standards are modified over time
  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and creative skills, with excellent communication abilities and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Exposure to CRM systems and/or Salesforce.com a plus
  • Sales experience and/or strong customer service skills are highly desired

Other Experience Required  

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience 
  • 2 + years of experience in delivery, design, and/or development of training modules 
  • Prior Customer Support leadership or training is required 
  • Residential Security sales preferred
  • Coaching experience or certification is a plus
