The role is pivotal in managing essential casework, drafting and organizing litigation documents, and engaging with clients, courts, and legal colleagues to keep cases progressing smoothly. What you’ll do:

  • Litigation Calendar & Deadline Management: Manage federal and Florida state litigation calendars, calculate and track all deadlines, and ensure filings are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Drafting & Filing Litigation Documents: Prepare, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, exhibits, notices, and proposed orders for class and collective actions.
  • Electronic Filing & Court Submissions: File documents through PACER/CM‑ECF, the Florida E‑Filing Portal, and additional state systems as required. Coordinate service and assemble courtesy copies.
  • Case Record Organization: Maintain detailed, organized case files; ensure all records, filings, and exhibits are properly labeled, stored, and accessible.
  • Discovery Support & Document Management: Assist with all discovery tasks, including drafting requests/responses, organizing productions, formatting documents, and managing bates labeling.
  • Full Litigation Lifecycle Support: Support attorneys across all phases of class and collective action litigation, including investigations, case setup, class certification, mediation, settlement administration, and trial preparation.
  • Docket Review & Quality Control: Monitor dockets, perform cite‑checking, and ensure all filings meet formatting, grammar, and Bluebook citation requirements.
  • Case Management System Maintenance: Keep matter statuses, deadlines, and workflows up to date within the firm’s case‑management platform (Clio experience preferred).
  • Professional Communication: Engage with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties with clarity, professionalism, and timely follow‑through.
  • Team Collaboration & Contribution: Participate as a proactive team member, contributing to a positive culture while supporting the firm’s commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and client service excellence.


What we’re looking for: 

  • Experience: 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, including substantial work in federal court and familiarity with complex case workflows, as well as a background in wage-and-hour or class action litigation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient with PACER/CM‑ECF, Florida’s e‑filing portal, and applicable litigation calendaring rules. Skilled in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and legal research platforms such as Westlaw. Experience using Clio or a similar case‑management platform.
  • Drafting & Research Skills: Strong drafting abilities for class and collective action filings, ideally including wage‑and‑hour/FLSA work. Comfortable preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, and supporting legal research.
  • Organization & Quality Control: Exceptionally strong attention to detail, proofreading ability, and document accuracy. Adept at managing multiple deadlines without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Professional Judgment & Ownership: Brings urgency, accountability, and a solutions‑oriented mindset. Demonstrates sound professional judgment and the ability to take full ownership of assigned cases.
  • Bilingual Communication: Ability to communicate fluently in both Spanish and English to support clients and case needs effectively.
