Purpose
As the Sr. Director, Corporate Finance, you will serve as a key strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team, providing financial leadership that shapes the company’s growth trajectory. This role leads the integration of financial strategy with operational execution, ensuring Divergent’s disruptive manufacturing platform is supported by robust financial planning, performance management, and capital allocation. You will drive financial insights that influence company-wide decision-making, Board-level discussions, and investor confidence.
The Role
- Lead development of Divergent’s enterprise-wide financial strategy, integrating growth plans, program economics, capital investments, short and long-range planning.
- Act as the primary finance partner to the CFO, CEO, and executive leadership—providing clear, actionable insights on financial performance, risk, and strategic trade-offs.
- Oversee preparation of Board materials, investor presentations, and fundraising support; serve as a trusted finance voice in executive forums.
- Provide oversight and guidance on program-level financial performance, ensuring accountability for margins, NRE recovery, and lifecycle economics across complex defense and automotive programs.
- Champion integration and automation of financial systems (Oracle, Datarails, Power BI), scaling visibility into performance metrics across the enterprise.
- Lead enterprise scenario analysis, capital allocation frameworks, and valuation modeling to inform investment priorities and long-term financial sustainability.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Corporate Finance team that partners cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial functions.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or FP&A, ideally with exposure to advanced manufacturing, aerospace & defense, mobility, or automation sectors.
- Proven track record of building and leading finance organizations in high-growth, complex hardware/software environments.
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, long-range planning, and strategic decision support at the executive and Board level.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading finance for complex, multi-stage manufacturing operations with dynamic cost structures and capacity-driven constraints.
- Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense program economics, pricing models, and customer landscape (DoD, primes, integrators).
- Demonstrated success in driving digital finance transformation and enterprise performance management systems.
- Track record of partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive operational and financial excellence.
Pay Range
$189,635 - $260,780 USD
