What you'll do

Are you never satisfied with resolving an issue until you understand what exactly caused it?  Do you have a constant craving to learn new technologies and then put them to use in as many unique ways as you can imagine? If so, then a role on the Sales Engineering team at DoubleVerify is exactly what you are looking for!

Provide Advanced Technical Support During Sales Cycle and Testing

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in client meetings alongside sales and commercial teams, articulating the value and application of DV services.

  • Grasp the nuances of client campaign objectives and explain how DV services meet their needs in a way that's easy for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand.

  • Provide best practice campaign architecture for head-to-head test and proper data analysis

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, legal and security teams to deliver RFI/RFP documents and InfoSec questionnaires to provide accurate and consistent responses

Develop and Analyze Custom Reports Based on Client Needs and Goals

  • Create custom SQL-driven reports tailored to client specifications and internal needs, partnering with data and analytics teams to ensure privacy guidelines, accuracy, and actionable interpretation of data insights

  • Determine optimal report distribution mechanisms based on client infrastructure for custom report delivery and Data API

Work alongside Commercial, Product, and Engineering teams on escalated troubleshooting issues

  • Use real-time debugging tools and data-driven analysis to investigate and resolve complex client issues, while identifying areas for performance optimization.

  • Liaise between clients and Product/Engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support product improvements — translating complex concepts into clear questions for clients, and delivering concise technical insights to internal DV teams.

  • Collaborate with internal Commercial teams to execute tasks using best practices process workflows

Who you are

  • 1+ years of demonstrated technical experience in the online advertising industry or in data analysis utilizing tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, or equivalent.

  • Confident, self-motivated independent thinker and team player.  Willing to hit the ground running

  • Proficient in conducting written and oral communications and trainings

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Exposure to ad server and/or third-party creative tags

  • Ability to interpret and understand prewritten HTML

  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint on a daily basis

  • Demonstrated skills in project management with focus in requirements gathering, resource organization, project/task prioritization, and scheduled development

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships across all levels of an organization, both internally and externally

  • Comfortable working independently, extremely well organized, have the technical aptitude to learn new technologies

  • Strong organization skills with demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments for numerous prospective clients

Not required, but a bonus if (* items we’ll help you learn if not):

  • Direct experience working at:  advertising agency, publisher, ad network, or demand-side platform *

  • Understanding of the online media marketplace and experience with ad servers and third-party creative tags *

  • Experience working with SQL *

  • Fluency in Spanish

  • SalesForce experience *

  • Ability to code in HTML **, JavaScript, Python, PHP (other scripting and programming languages a plus)

  • Ability to travel (< 10%)

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $60,000 to $117,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description; however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be more or less experienced than this job description as posted.
