We are looking for a Finance Manager to play a key role in the continued development, refinement, and optimization of our business model. Our ideal candidate will be excited to take a hands-on approach in enhancing the overall teams’ capabilities, and will help us build a best-in-class finance function that initiates company-wide strategic decisions.
Your Mission:
This role focuses on corporate finance reporting, analysis and operational business partnerships, and works closely with executive leaders and the board of directors. Our Finance Manager will lead various aspects of the month end close process, build forecasts, and set and track company goals, among other ad-hoc, cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate enjoys working on either autonomous or collaborative projects, and is disciplined to deliver accurate results, on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Forecasting: Drive quarterly and annual budgeting processes and bring clarity to results, steering the FP&A team and stakeholders to hit key milestones.
- Financial Acumen: Lead financial reporting and add clarity to takeaways for board of directors on a monthly basis; familiarity with NetSuite or other enterprise-level financial systems required.
- Financial Modeling: Build long term, complex, 3-statement financial models from the ground up, including dynamic linkages to granular business drivers.
- Business Partnerships: Bring valuable insights and manage strategic projects with executive leaders from People, Accounting and other departments.
- Prioritization: Multi-task and juggle many simultaneous priorities in a fast-paced environment, including collaborating with business leaders.
What You’ll Bring to Engine:
- Communication Skills: Exceptional and effective oral and written communication skills
- Analytical Mindset: Experience with large data sets, solving complex problems. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented and excellent problem-solver
- Collaboration: Solid team player - we achieve more as a team!
- Experience: Prior work experience in corporate FP&A, investment banking, private equity, transaction/valuation advisory, or management consulting strongly preferred. 3-8 years of experience in an analytical role requiring Excel model building and analysis
- Technical Capabilities: Experience using SQL a plus. Advanced Excel, PPT and Microsoft Word skills
Cash Compensation: The base salary for this role is starting at a $160,000 base up to $180,000. Final compensation packages are determined by various factors, including prior experience and expertise.
