About The Role

Schumacher & Co.’s Legal Team is excited to welcome an organized and experienced Contract Analyst to its team. The Contract Analyst will play a key role in supporting FS&CO’s contracting processes, risk mitigation efforts, and vendor compliance. This individual will partner with Legal, Finance, Operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure contracts are properly reviewed, tracked, and executed in alignment with business objectives and legal standards. This position requires the ability to work quickly and wear many hats, juggling projects and people to meet deadlines and company goals in our fun, fast-paced environment. The Contracts Analyst will report to the Legal and Business Affairs Manager. It is a full-time, hybrid position, with approximately three days per week spent at our office in SoHo, NYC.


YOU WILL
:

  • Manage company-wide vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and operational needs
  • Review business and legal language in partnership with the legal department, as well as the relevant business unit manager entering into agreements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support contract negotiation and execution processes across the business
  • Leverage freight experience to support logistics-related matters and contract negotiations with freight partners to achieve optimal outcomes for the company
  • Apply real estate experience in reviewing leases and supporting company expansion initiatives
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle within “Finquery” contracts management platform, from organization and compliance tracking to renewal and performance reporting.
  • Use Finquery to track contract details, including tracking key dates, obligations, and deliverables
  • Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies in partnership with Legal, while ensuring adherence to all relevant requirements.
  • Work closely with Finance to validate pricing, payment terms, and supplier performance benchmarks in contracts
  • Recommend process improvements and implement best practices for scalable contract management

YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • Strong academic credentials, including a bachelor’s degree from an esteemed college/university
  • Database and contract management experience, including freight contract management experience
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to think strategically about big-picture goals
  • Outstanding analytic, communication and organizational skills, including excellent drafting and negotiation skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively on assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, and Word) and experience in document management applications.
  • An understanding of and demonstrated familiarity with the contracting practices related to the product sales related industry
  • Flexibility/adaptability to manage multiple, wide-ranging matters, conflicting deadlines, and new areas of expertise as business needs change

Salary Range

$70,000 - $75,000 USD
