You will join a talented, distributed team across Europe and Asia with shared time for collaboration and brainstorming sessions. You will work alongside senior leaders, engineers, product owners and designers to bring real-time collaboration features to our 25 million users
About the role:
At Goodnotes, we are searching for a dynamic Head of Quality Assurance to lead our QA team. In this pivotal role, you will create and implement strategies with an automation-first approach, shaping the future of quality assurance for our scalable, high-performance productivity applications.
Your leadership will play a key role in designing a cutting-edge QA strategy across our range of consumer and business products that ensures seamless collaboration and top-tier performance for millions of users worldwide.
With a large team of QA and engineers, you will foster innovation and efficiency, transforming our testing landscape to meet ever evolving demands
This is the role for you, if you’re excited to work on the things listed below:
- Lead and manage the QA function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. (Own the quality of the overall software products)
- Develop comprehensive QA strategies with both automated and manual testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with the development teams to integrate QA processes into the software development lifecycle.
- Oversee the creation and execution of test plans and test cases. Analyze results identify issues and trends, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
- Lead the team to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts..
- Ensure scalability and reliability of testing environments and tools.
- Manage and evolve bug tracking and resolution processes.
- Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies, and implement best practices in QA processes.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Who we’re looking for
- You have significant experience in QA management, providing leadership to a large scale distributed team
- You have managed managers before
- You have implemented automation frameworks from scratch, transforming manual QA to automation, test driven development
- You have a background in ‘hands on’ manual and automation testing across iOS, Web, Windows and Android applications
- Experience in building and implementing proactive automation strategies
- You have experience working in cross-platform, product focused, B2C companies with millions of users
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and QA methodologies.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, use of Jira, TestRail or similar software management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are a fantastic communicator, you can work alongside Engineering managers to drive coding standards
- Experience in real-time collaborative application (e.g. Google Doc, Microsoft Office, Notion) is a plus.

The interview process:
- An introductory call with someone from our talent acquisition team. They want to hear more about your background, what you are looking for, and why you’d like to join Goodnotes
- 1 hour behavioural interview with SVP of Engineering, asking questions around your experience and management skills
- 1 hours technical interview testing technical domain and automation knowledge
- 45 minute panel interview, presenting one of your passions to the team and questions around culture
- 1 hour interview with our CEO
