Your Role

We’re looking for an intern with a strong foundation in both finance and computer science to contribute to our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. If you're passionate about working with large data sets, optimizing processes, and using your technical skills to improve finance operations, this is an exciting opportunity for you. You will work alongside our team to help streamline processes, analyze data, and create solutions that drive efficiency and support decision-making.

For this role, we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska. But with our flexible work policy, there aren't any current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.

Must-Haves

  • Current student. You’re currently pursuing a degree in finance, computer science, or a similar area of study.
  • Excited to work with data. You enjoy analyzing and manipulating large datasets and can’t wait to apply your technical skills to real-world finance challenges.
  • Detail-oriented. You’re precise in your work, ensuring accuracy when analyzing data and presenting findings.
  • A critical-thinker. You can analyze problems logically and identify potential solutions. At Hudl, we’ll empower you to experiment, test and iterate on solutions without fear of failure.
  • The type who gets things done. You thrive on completing tasks and have a list of finished projects that you take pride in.
  • Flexible. You’re happy to take on a variety of tasks and learn new skills as needed.
  • A team player. You enjoy collaborating with others and understand the importance of clear communication and supporting your team to achieve goals.
  • Responsible. You take ownership of your work, meet deadlines, and ensure your contributions make a difference.
  • Core value alignment. You can exemplify basic office etiquette including clear and concise communication skills, time management, and the ability to give and receive feedback, which are all part of our core values at Hudl.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Relevant course completion. You've completed courses in accounting, finance, computer science or data analysis.
  • Technical skills. You’re proficient in Excel for data analysis and formula creation, and you’re able to navigate and troubleshoot computer systems effectively.
  • Interest in automation and process improvement. You’re excited about using your tech skills to automate, reduce manual tasks and improve financial processes.

Our Role

  • Ask you to make an impact. You're part of the team—that means you'll have real responsibilities. We want to hear what you think and see what you can do.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But even if you’re taking advantage of the opportunity to work remotely, we’ll provide you the tech you need to do your best work.
  • Develop your career. On top of working alongside some of the best professionals in the business and gaining real-world experience, we’ll give you extra opportunities like lunch-and-learns and access to curated libraries to round out your internship.
  • Support your wellbeing. You’ll have an entire team on your side to give advice and provide answers to your questions, plus more resources like topic-specific Slack channels and employee resource groups. In short, we have you covered.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this role is set by a candidate’s year in school, and will be determined by their academic standing at the start of the internship.

Base Hourly Range
