Senior Product Designer - Vice President

About the Role

iCapital is seeking a Senior UX Designer to help shape and elevate the user experience across our fintech platform. This role requires a strong blend of UX, interaction, and visual design expertise to create intuitive, modern, and impactful digital experiences. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and skilled problem solver who is passionate about user-centered design and cross-functional collaboration. They stay current with emerging technologies, design trends, and UX best practices, applying these insights to enhance client experiences, drive product adoption, and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full UX design process, including discovery research, information architecture, user flows, wireframing, and high-fidelity prototyping.
  • Rely on qualitative and quantitative data to drive design decisions.
  • Create pixel-perfect designs and prototypes leveraging iCapital’s Design System.
  • Collaborate effectively with Product Managers and Engineering teams to shape, review, and iterate on product enhancements and proposals, ensuring solutions are executed with quality, consistency, and attention to user experience.
  • Manage multiple concurrent requests and requirements.
  • Step outside the design realm when appropriate to contribute to the team and overall company mission.
  • Present work to all levels of the company with confidence.
  • When necessary, lead, coach and mentor other designers on the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BFA) with 10+ years of demonstrated experience solving design
    challenges using user-centered design best practices
  • Strong systems-thinking skills, with the ability to understand complex workflows, connect user needs with business objectives, and design cohesive experiences across large product ecosystems
  • Demonstrated experience designing application workflows, onboarding journeys, and user guidance
    for digital products
  • Deep expertise with Figma and modern design workflows, including design systems, prototyping, and developer handoff
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Figma AI, and similar technologies) to enhance design workflows, accelerate ideation, support research synthesis and increase team productivity
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to influence
    stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong portfolio that highlights your design process, approach to solving complex challenges, and ability to deliver measurable user and business outcomes is required
  • Experience in FinTech, WealthTech, or complex enterprise platforms is a plus

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $170,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).

We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
