Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President, Agency Sales, the Event Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of both in-person and virtual events for our agent partners within the luxury travel industry. From regional & national events, networking events, to exclusive familiarization (FAMS) journeys, your expertise will be key in delivering exceptional event experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning in both regional and national travel advisor events, partner in the execution of in-person conferences and Regional Sales Director events.
- Design events that drive high ROI in leads and sales and align with the Kensington brand.
- Pre and post-event follow-up with travel agent attendees and track lead generation results with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with an internal team of Sales Directors, external vendors, and agent partners to ensure seamless coordination and successful event delivery.
- Oversee event logistics such as catering, A/V, transportation, accommodation room blocks, signage and design, swag/gifting, communications, and technology for virtual events.
- Develop detailed event timelines, project plans, and communication strategies to ensure timely and efficient execution.
- Work with the creative marketing team to produce promotional materials, event communications, and digital content that drive registration and engagement.
- Manage event registration, attendee tracking, and communication, ensuring smooth processes from start to finish.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather attendee feedback, and analyze ROI to continuously enhance future events.
- Stay informed on industry trends, innovative practices, and emerging technologies to refine and elevate event offerings.
- This role will require approximately 20% of travel.
Qualifications:
- Experience and strong understanding of travel agent channels in North America.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in planning and executing both in-person and virtual events.
- Extensive knowledge of popular US metropolitan hubs is required.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring every aspect of the event is executed to your best ability.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Proficient in technology systems, and experience in (virtual) event platforms is an asset.
- Creative problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Flexibility to accommodate travel and work on-site at events as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.
