UX Designer, Brand Creative

Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋

Actively looking for a new opportunity to work on a team focusing on projects with real business impact? Do you thrive in environments where you can help raise the bar for quality, drive collaboration, and mentor others to reach their full potential? If so, you might be in the right place!

Lightspeed is seeking a UX Designer to join our Brand Creative team. Here, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how we communicate our value proposition to high-GTV retailers and restaurateurs across the web. Based in Montreal, this role partners with Brand, Dev, Growth and Product Marketing teams to design compelling, conversion-driven digital experiences across our marketing channels.

You bring a strategic mindset, a strong grasp of UX fundamentals, and a passion for bridging business objectives with user needs. You’ll contribute to a globally distributed UX Design team that’s evolving how we think, design, test and deliver digital experiences for performance and brand affinity. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role focused on creating thoughtful, scalable user experiences on Lightspeed’s most important marketing surfaces, especially the website and lifecycle touch points.

What you’ll be doing:

  • UX Leadership
    • Lead the UX execution of digital projects across the homepage, product verticals, landing pages, and lifecycle marketing.
    • Translate marketing briefs into elegant, scalable UX solutions with measurable business impact.
    • Own wireframes, flows, and UX patterns that form the foundation of our digital marketing experience.
    • Think like a system designer: contribute to and extend our modular component library with reusability, scalability and performance in mind.
  • Design & Execution
    • Deliver presentation-ready design concepts that show strategic depth and executional polish.
    • Confidently balance brand constraints, business goals, and UX best practices.
    • Ensure consistency and scalability through design systems and documentation.
    • Apply CRO and A/B testing insights into ongoing UX improvements and design rationale.
  • Strategic Thinking
    • Collaborate closely with developers, marketers, and brand designers to shape the user experience through a brand and performance lens.
    • Identify opportunities to improve lead conversion through UX enhancements, customer journey audits, and cross-channel experience alignment.
    • Advocate for user needs while also delivering against roadmap goals.
    • Maintain a high standard in design documentation and archive management.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Present design work and UX strategy clearly to non-design stakeholders.
    • Advocate for the design team in meetings and contribute to process improvement.
    • Build strong relationships with cross-functional peers and managers from Brand, WebDev, Marketing, Product & Growth.
    • Lead meetings and creative discussions when required, inspiring and motivating the team.
    • Determine goals and objectives of design briefs and provide feedback and guidance to stakeholders
    • Help shape how UX collaborates inside the marketing org and how we scale this function globally.
    • Contribute to building a positive, inclusive, and high-performing global UX culture.

And a little bit of....

  • Contributing to user testing and competitive audits to inform design.
  • Recommending tools and workflows to help us scale the UX function inside Brand.
  • Pitching ideas, facilitating feedback, and helping push the boundaries of how UX Design is done in SaaS environments.
  • Partnering with team members across APAC, EMEA, and NOAM asynchronously.

What you need to bring:

  • 4+ years of UX Design experience in brand, performance marketing, SaaS, retail or e-commerce.
  • A portfolio that showcases strategic UX thinking, design quality, and measurable outcomes.
  • Proven work in modular design systems and CMS-based environments.
  • Experience working closely with marketing, brand, product and web development teams.
  • Comfortable presenting ideas clearly and facilitating stakeholder input
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and a good understanding of front-end implementation.
  • Bonus: Experience with motion graphics, UI design and branding
  • As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.
