We’re looking for a  Senior Manager Accounts Receivable to join our Finance team in Montreal. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s AR operations, ensuring timely collections, accurate reporting, and effective credit management. This role will play a key part in the implementation of a new CRM and collections system, while optimizing current processes to enhance efficiency, visibility, and customer experience.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee the AR process including collections, cash applications, and credit management.
  • Monitor aging reports, resolve delinquent accounts, and establish strategies to minimize DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
  • Develop and maintain AR policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with company standards and accounting principles.
  • Lead and mentor the AR team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Systems & Process Optimization

  • Serve as the business lead for the implementation of a new collections management system.
  • Partner closely with IS, Finance, and Operations to design, test, and deploy system integrations between CRM, ERP, and billing systems.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of AR processes.
  • driving automation and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Manage data integrity across multiple CRMs and financial platforms to ensure accurate and consistent customer and account information.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on customer billing, credit limits, and dispute resolution.
  • Provide insights and reports to senior leadership on AR performance, trends, and collection risks.
  • Support external audits and ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations.

What you need to bring:

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
  • At least 10+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit & Collections, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity. 
  • Proven experience managing or implementing CRM or collections systems 
  • Demonstrated success in process transformation or systems implementation within a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent English and French communication skills. As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Experience with Netsuite, Salesforce and Looker, Gsuite
  • Experience in Software, Payments, or Financial Services industry
