Job Title: Manager, Talent Acquisition
Location: Shared Services Office (Hybrid), Irving, TX
Reports to: VP, Talent Acquisition
FLSA Status: Exempt
The Opportunity:
Leverage your industrial market knowledge and recruiting expertise to partner across Meriton and all operating companies to hire exceptional talent and provide the best-in-class service. This player-coach role requires someone who can drive full-cycle recruitment for key roles while managing a small, high-performing team. In addition to day-to-day recruiting, you’ll lead initiatives to improve hiring processes, employer branding, and candidate experience while meeting hiring targets. You’ll closely cross collaborate with Shared Services, Operations, and Sales Leaders demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills to meet the needs of our multi-brand growing business.
Responsibilities:
- Implement recruiting best practices to attract and retain top talent, while building a strong employer brand, and managing recruitment resources effectively and efficiently
- Source candidates to meet job description profiles and build a diverse talent pool for current and future staffing needs
- Use passive sourcing and recruiting techniques including, but not limited to, Boolean searches, referrals, databases, job boards, social media, career events, and networks to locate hard to find talent
- Champion a strong candidate experience that reflects our values and helps attract top talent
- Track key recruiting metrics, such as time to fill and source effectiveness, to identify areas for improvement and optimize the recruitment process across the TA Team ensuring top performance and accountability
- Analyze job requirements, conduct market research, and develop unique recruitment initiatives to attract top talent
- Ensure a red-carpet candidate and hiring manager experience by providing clear & regular cadence communication, timely feedback, and a seamless hiring process
- Partner with the University Relations Team in the college recruiting process, including attending career fairs and events as well as establishing and maintaining year-round university relationships
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, preferably including M&A onboarding for recruitment programs & transitions
- Demonstrated success in both hands-on recruiting and team leadership scaling recruitment in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Previous experience managing / leading / mentoring others locally and remotely
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations and pivot as needed to meet the needs of the operating companies
- HVAC, Construction, or related industry a plus
- Ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization, exercising a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy to accomplish objectives and meet internal customer demands with a sense of urgency
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations – state, federal, and local

Work Environment

The work location is in a corporate setting where noise levels are usually moderate, and stress levels may be moderate to high on a regular basis. Although the position’s primary work location is the shared services office in Irving, Texas, the position does follow an in-office hybrid schedule (once fully trained and performing all functions within scope of the role). Depending upon project, position and/or company needs, the hybrid schedule may fluctuate and/or change in coordination with the VP, Talent Acquisition, or other sponsor, as appropriate. The position will require the ability to work a flexible schedule in order to plan, host, and attend educational institution events as needed. Seasonal travel required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Salary ranges listed are dependent upon a candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the specific role and location.
