We are seeking an experienced Azure and virtual desktop subject matter expert.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale VDI environments, with a focus on migrations to Azure virtual desktop and Windows 365.  An extensive background with enterprise-scale Citrix deployments is also a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic guidance and advisory services to stakeholders on the utilization of virtual desktops on Azure to meet organizational goals of a large-scale migration off of an existing Citrix deployment.
• Lead the design and architecture of scalable and secure Azure based virtual desktop solutions, considering factors such as performance, security, and compliance.
• Implement and optimize Azure based virtual desktop environments, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. This would include both Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 solutions.
• Collaborate with project teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop advanced automation strategies through Terraform or integrated PowerShell scripting to customize and manage Azure resources.
• Act as a subject matter expert in implementing advanced security measures for virtual desktops, addressing compliance requirements and industry standards.
• Provide guidance on data protection, identity management, and access controls.
• Guide migration planning based off industry trends and emerging technologies related to virtualization and cloud end-user computing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and/or Windows 365.
• Proven experience in large-scale deployments and migrations to Windows 365.
• Hands-on expertise in the design, implementation, and optimization of virtual desktop Azure based solutions.
• Strong knowledge of user profile management solutions and policies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate deployment and configuration tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
