About the role and team:

 

We are the team responsible for building and strengthening Nu’s brand in Mexico, working to make people like, love, and stay loyal to it by creating unique and engaging experiences and messages with creativity and care. 

 

The Brand team is composed of a diverse group of professionals organized into three key areas: Early Journey, focused on building brand awareness across all funnel stages; Engagement, responsible for launching new products and maintaining customer interest in our product suite; and Content, which leads always-on communications across owned channels, social media, and influencer partnerships. We collaborate closely with Customer Insights, Public Relations, Media, and Brand/Product Managers, partnering on nearly every initiative. 

 

In this position, we are seeking a professional with extensive copywriting experience to lead the creative team and drive projects from strategy to execution, generating significant impact for Nu Mexico.

 

As a Creative Manager, you will:

  • Be the bridge to help the creative team grow by providing knowledge, tools, and timely feedback to support their skill development.
  • Drive disruptive campaigns with excellent creative thinking, constantly generating innovative ideas that challenge norms and redefine the industry.
  • Helping to define work quality, leading initiatives to help raise the quality bar in the team.
  • Proactively joins high impact initiatives bringing alternatives and collaborating to the project's success. 
  • Play a critical role in helping set and achieve the goals of an entire aspect of the business.
  • Help to develop projects from strategy to execution,  bringing impact to Nu México.

  • Conducting rituals within your team and beyond.
  • Interview new talents.

 

Skills you´ll need to succeed: 

  • Excellence in creative writing and mastery of the Spanish language.
  • At least 15 years of experience in copywriting for ATL, BTL, and digital advertising.
  • Exceptional communicator, possessing the ability to articulate complex ideas with clarity.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and experience leading projects with high execution — on-brief, on-time, and on-budget.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a creative team and engage with stakeholders across different areas.
  • Versatility in communication style to adapt the brand's tone for different audiences and platforms.
  • Mentorship skills and a supportive approach to help less experienced team members grow.
  • Genuine interest in pop culture, behavior, trends, and current topics.
  • A strong eye for cultural movements and the ability to turn them into provocative and relevant content.
  • Intermediate to advanced English: ability to speak, read, write, and translate written content in English.

The Nu Way of Working is our hybrid work model that was created so people could collaborate more in person and still keep the flexibility of remote work. Now, our work model has two-month cycles: for every seven weeks of remote work, one week will be at the office, in this case in our Mexico City Office located near Polanco.
