Role:  Global Digital Commerce Lead

About the role: 

You'll be the strategic visionary behind commerce initiatives that transform browsing into buying. Working at the intersection of retail media, social commerce, and content innovation, you'll translate consumer insights into revenue-generating strategies that outperform industry benchmarks. We're looking for someone who can navigate the complex commerce landscape with confidence, finding innovative approaches that drive both short-term sales and long-term brand equity. You are an expert in retail media, social commerce, marketplace and direct to consumer platforms. Success means establishing our clients as commerce leaders while consistently delivering exceptional ROI across diverse platforms and markets. 

 What you will be doing: 

  • Lead global commerce strategy that unlocks new growth opportunities for major brands 
  • Develop platform-specific approaches that maximize performance across Amazon, Walmart, Tesco, Uber and other retail media partners.  
  • Create shoppable experiences that seamlessly blend social, content and commerce 
  • Spearhead social commerce initiatives that leverage TikTok Shop, livestreaming, and influencer marketing, working closely with cross functional partners in social community management, brand and operations.  
  • Design and implement innovative commerce solutions that address complex business challenges, leveraging technology and AI where relevant  
  • Integrate commerce capabilities into social, point-of-sale marketing, and other channels to create a culture that converts 
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging commerce opportunities before competitors 
  • Build and mentor commerce teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence 
  • Collaborate with creative, media, and brand teams to ensure cohesive commerce strategies 
  • Transform data insights into actionable commerce optimizations 
  • Shape the future of commerce innovation in partnership with platform representatives to help deliver and optimise joint business plans.  
  • Stay ahead of emerging commerce trends to identify first-mover advantages 
  • Deliver work that consistently exceeds client expectations and business targets 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • A proven track record spanning 15+ years in digital commerce, with strong experience across multiple retail media ecosystems 
  • Deep expertise in retail media platforms including Amazon, Walmart, Tesco, and Uber, TikTok and others.  
  • Exceptional commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth 
  • Strong solution design capabilities, transforming complex challenges into actionable strategies 
  • A keen eye for recognizing new opportunities in the evolving commerce landscape 
  • Proven ability to develop and execute social commerce strategies across TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, and livestream commerce 
  • Experience integrating commerce touchpoints across multiple channels including social media and in-store 
  • Expertise in leveraging automation and Gen AI for commerce content production at scale 
  • Experience leading global commerce initiatives across diverse markets 
  • A talent for translating complex commerce data into clear strategic recommendations 
  • The ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders with confidence and authority 
  • An eye for emerging commerce opportunities before they become mainstream
