About the role: 

Join our innovative CG-AI team and create stunning, photorealistic environments. As an Environment Artist, you'll play a key role in developing cutting-edge visuals for advertising campaigns within Unreal Engine. We're at the forefront of automotive visualization, using CG+AI to redefine storytelling. We're not just creating images; we're crafting experiences that matter.

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Creating photorealistic 3D environments within Unreal Engine for advertising campaigns, from concept to final render.
  • Building and optimizing high- and low-poly environments and assets (terrain, architecture, props, foliage).
  • Developing and applying realistic textures and materials using PBR workflows.
  • Implementing and optimizing environment lighting and post-processing effects.
  • Collaborating with Art Directors, Designers, and other team members to ensure a cohesive and visually compelling final product.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues related to environment assets and performance within Unreal Engine and other 3D applications.
  • Researching and implementing new CG-AI techniques and technologies to enhance environment creation quality and efficiency (We're constantly pushing boundaries, crafting cutting-edge experiences, and developing our tech to redefine automotive storytelling. We're looking for artists who share that drive for innovation).
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices, contributing to the CG-AI team's growth.
  • Proactively identifying and exploring future tools and processes, particularly in AI and CG-AI.

 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • You are a highly skilled and passionate 3D Environment Artist with a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional skills in photorealistic environment and asset creation. You thrive in a collaborative environment, eager to share your knowledge and expertise. You are a proactive learner, constantly seeking new techniques and technologies, including advancements in AI and CG-AI. You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects concurrently, and delivering high-quality work.

  • 5+ years of professional experience creating photorealistic 3D environments/assets.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Unreal Engine, including Blueprint scripting and PCG tools.
  • Experience with asset management tools (e.g., Perforce, Git).
  • Deep understanding of environment lighting, texturing, and PBR workflows.
  • Strong skills in relevant software, including Photoshop and Substance Painter/Designer.
  • Strong modeling skills and an unparalleled eye for detail.
  • Passion for CG+AI in automotive visualization.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies (Unreal Engine, 3ds Max, Maya, and peripheral tools)

Advantageous to have:

  • Familiarity with photogrammetry techniques/Reality Capture.
  • Interest in filmmaking, storytelling, and cinematography.
  • Understanding of composition and visual storytelling principles.
  • Experience with, and interest in, working with automotive brands.
  • Interest in R&D of relevant emerging tech (e.g., AI, CG-AI).
  • Experience with other procedural tools (e.g., Houdini).
