Role:  Global Director of Creators and Influencer 

Location:  London, UK

About the role: 

The Global Director of Influencer will lead and scale our influencer marketing practice, focused on commercial growth, operational excellence, and exceptional client results while building a high-performing team of influencer marketing specialists. This role demands strong commercial acumen, expert negotiation skills across all creator tiers, and the ability to establish OLIVER/BTG as a leader in influencer excellence as part of our in-house model. 

What you will be doing: 

Operational Leadership & Growth: 

  • Lead and scale OLIVER's influencer marketing practice, managing all operational aspects including resource planning, workflow optimization, and service delivery excellence. 
  • Drive significant commercial growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing compelling pitches, and expanding influencer capabilities across existing client accounts. 
  • Manage payments, negotiations and ensure capability has profitable growth while delivering exceptional value to clients. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with influencer agencies, platforms, and talent management to create competitive advantages. 

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of influencer marketing specialists, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. 
  • Establish clear processes, best practices, and quality standards to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all campaigns. 
  • Develop team capabilities across influencer identification, negotiation, contracting, content briefing, and campaign management. 

Strategy & Client Management: 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive influencer marketing strategies tailored to diverse clients across various industries, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable ROI. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients, educating them on influencer marketing opportunities and evolving best practices. 
  • Oversee campaign development from strategy through execution, ensuring brand alignment, creative excellence, and performance optimization. 
  • Present campaign insights and performance results to clients, translating data into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations. 

Influencer Relations & Negotiation: 

  • Identify and partner with influencers across all tiers—from high-profile talent to emerging micro and nano-creators—building a robust network across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). 
  • Lead complex negotiations with talent and their representatives, securing mutually beneficial partnerships that deliver value for clients while maintaining strong creator relationships. 
  • Navigate contracting, compliance, and rights management to protect both client and agency interests. 
  • Foster long-term creator relationships that can be leveraged across multiple campaigns and clients. 

Innovation & Best Practice: 

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platform innovations, and emerging creator ecosystems to continuously evolve our offering. 
  • Leverage data analytics and AI tools to enhance creator selection, performance prediction, and campaign measurement. 
  • Collaborate with social media, creative, and analytics teams to ensure holistic, integrated campaign approaches. 

What you need to be great in this role

  • Operational & Commercial Excellence: 10+ years in influencer marketing with proven experience running influencer operations at scale. Strong commercial acumen with track record of driving revenue growth, managing budgets, and delivering profitable outcomes. Experience with P&L management and new business development. 
  • Expert Negotiation & Relationship Building: Exceptional negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to secure optimal partnerships across all creator tiers—from celebrity talent to micro-influencers. Strong relationship management capabilities with both creators and clients. 
  • Leadership & Team Development: Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams. Ability to establish processes, standards, and best practices that drive operational excellence and scalable growth. 
  • Strategic & Analytical: Deep understanding of influencer marketing landscape across platforms, content formats, creator tiers, and measurement methodologies. Data-driven approach with strong analytical skills to measure and optimize campaign performance (reach, engagement, conversions, ROI). 
  • Client Relationship Management & Communication: Excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to educate, influence, and build trust with senior stakeholders. Experience managing complex client relationships and delivering strategic consultancy. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of influencer platforms, tools, contracting, compliance, rights management, and FTC/ASA guidelines. Knowledge of creator economy trends and emerging platforms.
