Role: Social Creator Lead

Location:  London, United Kingdom

About the role:

This is a senior creative role at the heart of the client's office, accountable for the quality, consistency, and continuous improvement of all studio output. You'll lead a team of Content Creators, set craft standards, and build scalable content systems that enable high-quality work to travel across markets without losing platform relevance or cultural accuracy.

The role sits at the intersection of creative execution and leadership. You'll create content directly, mentor the team, and work cross-functionally with Strategy, Social, and Data to ensure output reflects performance learnings and commercial objectives. Success here looks like a team delivering consistently strong, high-performing content at pace — with visible improvement over time.

What you will be doing:

  • Creative Leadership
    • Set and uphold the creative standard for all studio content: always-on, campaign, and reactive
    • Provide clear direction across formats and briefs, ensuring all work is platform-native, on-brand, and ready to publish
    • Review content before delivery, giving clear and actionable feedback on craft and execution
  • Hands-On Content Creation
    • Lead by example — creating short-form video, static, and motion content yourself where needed
    • Demonstrate best practice across formats, platforms, and production approaches
    • Ensure all content is optimised for platform performance before it goes out
  • Scalable Content Systems
    • Develop modular content approaches — templates, variants, and localisation-ready assets — that enable consistent, high-volume output across markets
    • Document workflows and production processes that support efficiency and quality at scale
  • Multi-Market Adaptation
    • Guide how content is adapted and localised across markets (including UK and France), balancing global brand consistency with local cultural relevance
    • Establish clear standards for versioning, localisation, and platform nuance across the team
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and mentor Content Creators, supporting development in craft, execution, and working method
    • Give clear, consistent feedback and direction on complex briefs
    • Build a culture of continuous improvement and high creative standards within the team
  • Cross-Team Collaboration
    • Partner with Social Strategists on briefing and creative direction; with Social Media Managers on publishing and optimisation; and with Data Analysts on performance insight
    • Ensure content reflects both strategic intent and performance learnings, and that delivery timelines are met
  • Performance and Optimisation
    • Use platform and campaign data to refine content formats, improve execution, and guide decisions on what to scale, adapt, or stop
    • Embed a test-and-learn approach across the team's creative practice
  • Creator and Production Oversight
    • Support collaboration with external creators, influencers, and production partners — ensuring content is authentic, rights-cleared, and aligned to brand and strategy
    • Manage workstream-level production budgets, source suppliers, negotiate rates, and identify cost efficiencies without compromising quality
  • Standards and Best Practice
    • Maintain high standards in visual quality, editing, and brand consistency across all output
    • Ensure accessibility and inclusivity are embedded in content across markets and formats
    • Stay current on platform trends, emerging formats, and creative innovations — sharing relevant insight with the team

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Strong creative concepting ability, with hands-on experience delivering short-form video, static, and motion content for social
  • Advanced knowledge of platform best practices across major social channels, and what drives engagement on each
  • Proficiency with tools including Adobe Suite, CapCut, Canva, Figma, or equivalent
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring content teams, with the ability to give clear, constructive feedback and drive consistent output quality
  • Comfortable working across Strategy, Data, and Client teams — translating briefs and insight into high-quality creative execution
  • Experience collaborating with external creators, influencers, and production partners
  • Experience managing workstream-level production budgets, with confidence negotiating supplier rates and driving cost efficiency without compromising quality
  • Background in social content creation for consumer brands, with FMCG experience an advantage
  • Experience delivering high-volume content in always-on or fast-paced studio environments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, deliver consistently to deadlines, and maintain strong attention to craft under pressure
  • Track record of building and improving content workflows and production systems
  • Expert-level proficiency with Gen AI tools relevant to social content creation — including tools that support concepting, editing, adaptation, and production workflow optimisation
  • Demonstrated ability to set quality benchmarks for AI-assisted creative output and apply rigorous human oversight
  • Experience training others in effective, responsible AI tool use within a creative discipline
  • Agentic approach to complex creative and production challenges: breaking problems down systematically, identifying efficient paths forward, and driving consistent execution across the team
  • Clear understanding of when AI enhances versus detracts from craft quality in social content
  • Experience in multi-market environments or embedded in-house studio teams
  • Familiarity with influencer and creator-led production approaches
  • Experience with paid social content — variants, testing frameworks, and performance optimisation
  • Experience building scalable content systems or localisation workflows at studio level
  • Formal qualifications are welcome but not required. Equivalent experience counts, whether gained through work, study, volunteering, or self-directed learning.
