Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic EMEA Controller to lead our regional financial operations. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, and partnering with business leaders to support strategic decision-making across the EMEA region.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial control, commercial finance, and business partnering, with prior experience at a Big 5 accounting firm and a licensed Chartered Accountant (zertifizierter Wirtschaftsprüfer) in Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
Financial Control & Compliance
- Oversee all accounting operations across EMEA, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Swiss GAAP, and local statutory requirements.
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for EMEA region.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and risk management frameworks.
- Able to work with global accounting and finance teams
Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
- Collaborate with regional sales, marketing, and operations teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to optimize profitability.
- Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and investment decisions.
- Support collections efforts in the EMEA region.
- Experience with ERP platforms is required; SAP S/4HANA experience is a strong plus.
As part of the global Finance team, ability to work flexible as necessary.
Performing any other reasonable duties as directed by management.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting, finance or business administration.
- Licensed Chartered Accountant (Swiss CPA (zertifizierter Wirtschaftsprüfer) or equivalent).
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Fluent in English and German languages.
Desired Characteristics
- Big 5 accounting firm experience (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, BDO) is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Swiss GAAP, and local tax regulations.
- Proven experience in commercial finance, FP&A, and business partnering.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Energetic and flexible - capable to meet all deadlines and ad-hoc requests.
- Proficiency in Italian, French or other languages is a plus.
- Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
