Supervising Engineer

We're looking for highly skilled and motivated Supervising Engineer to join our best in class team and play a critical role in bringing complex projects to life. In this position, you'll be responsible for the leading the stages of construction and installation, ensuring that all systems and equipment are installed, tested, and operate according to specifications and client requirements.
As the Supervising Engineer at ON.energy, you will:
- Take ownership of the overall leadership and technical oversight of the commissioning process.
- Manage site-based technical team, 10-50 people, from installation through commissioning and acceptance testing, and facilitate smooth handover to services.
- Manages site-based workflow in line with critical path demands, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, grid interconnection requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders (Project Managers, Project Engineers, Customers, OEMs and Vendors).
- Develop and follow commissioning plans, test plans, procedures, and schedules.
- Understand and interpret project-specific task orders, change orders, and MSAs.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and high-level troubleshooting for major issues.
- Provide final commissioning sign-off and documentation.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in BESS, power systems, control architecture and commissioning.
- Strong background in commissioning, system integration, and grid compliance.
- Proficiency in SCADA systems, communication protocols and power conversion systems.
- Leadership and project management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, or other engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Safety certifications (OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, First Aid, CPR, AED) preferred.
