Treasury Manager

Role Description

The Treasury Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Group’s liquidity, cash positioning, and short-term cash flow forecasting. The role ensures that sufficient funds are available to meet operational, project, and financing obligations while maintaining strong controls, governance, and compliance with Treasury policies.

In a capital-intensive, project-driven environment, the Treasury Manager plays a critical role in coordinating funding flows, managing payment execution controls, and providing clear visibility of liquidity risks to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

Cash & Liquidity Management

• Prepare and maintain the daily cash position across all bank accounts, entities, and projects.
• Monitor unrestricted vs restricted cash, minimum cash balances, and liquidity buffers.
• Identify cash concentration risks and funding shortfalls and escalate as required.
• Manage intercompany cash movements and account funding.

Short-Term Cash Flow Forecasting

• Build and maintain the rolling 13-week liquidity forecast.
• Collect and validate forecast inputs from FP&A, AP, PMO, Payroll, and Commercial teams.
• Perform forecast vs actual variance analysis and continuously improve forecast accuracy.
• Highlight timing mismatches, liquidity risks, and funding requirements.

Funding & Debt Management

• Coordinate loan drawdowns under project finance facilities and revolving credit facilities.
• Maintain debt schedules covering principal, interest, fees, and amortisation.
• Monitor compliance with financing agreements, including covenant and reserve account requirements.
• Support lender reporting and information requests.

Payments & Treasury Operations

• Oversee payment release processes in banking platforms, ensuring adherence to Delegation of Authority and segregation of duties.
• Ensure sufficient liquidity and correct account funding prior to payment release.
• Review and escalate unusual, high-risk, or exceptional payments.
• Support fraud prevention controls, including bank access management and payment monitoring.

Banking & Relationship Management

• Support to Manage day-to-day relationships with relationship banks and service providers.
• Support bank account openings, closures, and mandate updates.
• Assist with bank fee reviews and service optimisation.

Treasury Reporting & Governance

• Prepare regular treasury reports for the Head of Treasury, and CFO.
• Maintain treasury policies, procedures, and process documentation.
• Support internal and external audits, providing clear documentation and evidence.
• Participate in treasury control testing and remediation activities.
