Sourcing Analyst

The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for executing sourcing activities for critical direct material categories, including transformers and power distribution equipment, and supporting targeted sourcing efforts across indirect materials and services. The role focuses on RFQ execution, supplier coordination, and contract support prior to purchase order placement.
This role works closely with Engineering, Operations, and Finance, and interfaces directly with suppliers to manage commercial and sourcing workflows.
Sourcing
- Execute RFQ processes for direct material categories, including supplier outreach, quote collection, and bid evaluation
- Lead targeted sourcing activities for indirect materials and services, including RFQs, supplier communication, and quote comparisons
- Coordinate with Engineering and Operations on specifications, lead times, and supplier requirements for direct materials
- Support commercial alignment with suppliers, including pricing, scope, and delivery terms prior to award
- Support contract review, commercial terms alignment, and supplier negotiations across both direct and indirect categories
- Support supplier selection and onboarding in coordination with internal stakeholders
Supplier Management & Performance
- Establish and maintain supplier performance metrics across cost, delivery, quality, and service
- Collect and organize supplier data to support performance tracking and reporting
- Support periodic supplier and internal performance reviews
- Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers on commercial and performance topics
Planning & Supplier Coordination
- Develop and communicate vendor-facing forecasts and demand inputs
- Coordinate with internal teams to align sourcing requirements with supplier capabilities and lead times
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers on requirements, priorities, and updates
Operations & Process Development
- Coordinate supplier meetings, including agendas, action tracking, and follow-ups
- Maintain sourcing documentation, pricing data, and procurement records
- Support development of sourcing processes, tools, and reporting structures
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related field
- Proficiency in Excel, including data analysis, pricing comparisons, and basic modeling
- Experience executing RFQs, supplier coordination, and sourcing workflows
- Experience supporting direct materials procurement, preferably in electrical equipment or industrial environments
- Familiarity with contract review, commercial terms, and supplier agreements
- Understanding of core procurement concepts, including pricing analysis, supplier evaluation, and cost drivers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple suppliers and workstreams
- Strong communication skills, with experience working directly with external vendors and internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with electrical infrastructure components (e.g., transformers, switchgear, power distribution systems)
- Experience working with ERP or procurement systems
