The Opportunity

The Expand Team at Postman is looking for a new Product Manager to focus on improving our Monetization Experience. The opportunity to work on this team is centered around shaping and evolving Postman’s monetization experience to drive business growth. This role offers a unique chance to impact a core area of our platform, ensuring that we meet customer expectations through seamless user experiences, transparent billing practices, and simple purchasing flows. The successful candidate will also play a key role in refining how we price and package our offerings to effectively capture value from various customer segments, all while staying focused on expanding our reach across international markets. You'll help us create a best-in-class conversion experience that not only scales but deepens engagement with teams of all sizes.

In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to lead experiments, build critical features like one-click purchase flows, and improve the clarity of our product’s value for both users and buyers. Your work will directly contribute to increasing paid active users by driving ongoing adoption of Postman's core collaboration workflows. You'll be instrumental in helping Postman grow the business by enhancing how customers interact with our pricing and payment systems, ultimately ensuring that Postman remains an indispensable tool for teams building with APIs. 

What you’ll do

In the Product Manager, Growth role you will take ownership of enhancing Postman’s monetization experience by ensuring our customers have a simple, clear, and personalized process for purchasing and managing their subscriptions. You will focus on improving the user experience, streamlining pricing flows, and creating intuitive purchase options. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize billing practices and improve notifications, all to drive increased engagement, reduce churn, and maximize revenue. Your success will be measured by your ability to increase paid active users, grow revenue through thoughtful pricing and payment strategies, and improve billing systems and user communication.

You will work closely with your Design, Analytics, and Engineering counterparts to execute your roadmap, adjusting as needed to hit your goals. You will also play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives in our land and expand model, focusing on expansion. You will obsess over expanding development team usage of the Postman product and awareness of new use cases.

About You

We’re looking for a product manager who loves to solve hard problems, iterate quickly, work cross-functionally, and share learnings collaboratively. 

Must Have

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager on B2B SaaS software products
  • A love of experimentation, iterating, and sharing learnings
  • You tackle complex product challenges and simplify them 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong systems thinking. Can connect the dots, spot challenges, and edge cases, and integrate multiple considerations.
  • Experience leveraging user research and data-backed insights as your true north star to guide and drive your product roadmap
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in a land and expand GTM model
  • Experience working on developer tools
  • Successful history of building personalized and contextually relevant experiences that are tailored to each customer's needs and preferences 

What will this person be working on? 

Initiatives:

  • Enhance add-on assignment: Ensure all add-ons are properly assigned to minimize churn and improve the user experience for both users and admins.
  • Simplify pricing flows: Experiment with streamlining the pricing page and encouraging teams to opt for annual plans to increase LTV.
  • One-click purchase experience: Create one-click purchase options and straightforward processes for users to request add-ons and upgraded licenses.
  • Improve notification systems: Enhance our notification systems for auto-flex and billing changes, ensuring all teams understand their charges to build and restore trust within our customer base.
  • Local currency experimentation: Test local currencies and budget-friendly pricing for our Basic plan tier in various countries to expand our monetization potential.

What Else?

This role is based in San Francisco Bay Area, with a reasonably estimated salary range of $125,000 to $160,000 plus a competitive equity package. Compensation is based on your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to our pay-for-performance philosophy, we offer comprehensive benefits, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, and wellness reimbursement. Salaries will vary outside of the listed metropolitan areas & the U.S.
