MTS - Python / Golang

Bangalore, India

We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.

This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Software Engineer for Testbed Health, you will architect the "nervous system" of our global engineering infrastructure, ensuring our massive fleet of hardware is resilient and ready for high-stakes testing. You will lead the development of a distributed self-healing system that shifts our operations from manual troubleshooting to automated recovery at scale. By collaborating closely with Platform and DevOps teams, you will eliminate downtime, ensuring our developers have a "Golden State" environment to build the future of storage technology.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Engineer Self-Healing Systems: Design and implement automated recovery loops that autonomously diagnose and repair hardware failures, reducing manual intervention and maintaining 24/7 fleet availability.

  • Architect Health Certification Pipelines: Build and own the "Gatekeeper" service that validates system integrity (OS, storage, and network) to ensure only healthy machines are permitted into the active test pool.

  • Drive Fleet Observability: Develop sophisticated monitoring tools and real-time dashboards that provide deep insights into hardware degradation trends, recovery velocity, and effective fleet capacity.

  • Solve Deep-Stack Anomalies: Lead the investigation into complex system failures—ranging from kernel panics to network flakes—and translate those findings into permanent code-based preventative measures.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Systems Engineering Expertise: Deep proficiency in Python or Go with a focus on writing clean, production-grade code designed for automation and distributed systems.

  • Advanced Linux Internals: Expert-level knowledge of Linux environments, including systemd, storage subsystems, kernel logs, and the ability to troubleshoot systems that are unresponsive or failing to boot.

  • Network & Infrastructure Proficiency: Solid understanding of networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, SSH) and experience managing the unique failure modes of physical hardware or large-scale virtualized clusters.

  • Automation Mindset: Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines and treat infrastructure-as-code, ensuring that complex environments are reproducible and resilient.

  • Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bengaluru office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
