It is a very exciting time of growth for our Customer Excellence team, and we are currently hiring a Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Solution Architect – Finance & Project Accounting (Chemical Industry Focus).
This role can be located anywhere in the United States.
What will this role entail?
We are seeking a seasoned Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Solution Architect with proven experience in the chemical industry, particularly within Finance and Project Accounting. In this critical role, you will architect, design, and implement robust D365 Finance and Operations (F&O) solutions tailored to the unique needs and complexities of chemical manufacturing and related sectors. This position may require travel to work onsite with clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end solution architecture and design for D365 Finance & Operations implementations, specifically targeting Finance and Project Accounting needs within the chemical industry.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze chemical-industry-specific business processes, and design targeted, value-driven solutions.

Oversee configuration, customization, and integration of D365 F&O modules including General Ledger, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cost Accounting, and Project Accounting—with consideration for regulatory compliance, cost allocation, and operational nuances of the chemical sector.

Define and document solution architectures, data models, and integration strategies across ERP, MES, LIMS, and other systems commonly used in the chemical industry.

Provide strategic guidance, best practices, and compliance insights (e.g., REACH, OSHA, environmental regulations) as they relate to D365 capabilities and implementations.

Lead functional and technical workshops, solution design sessions, and product demonstrations with a chemical industry lens.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of scalable, compliant, and efficient solutions.

Support pre-sales activities including industry-specific solution envisioning, proposal development, and client presentations.

Stay current with Microsoft D365 product roadmaps and evolving trends in the chemical and process manufacturing sectors.
What’s required to be successful in this role?

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, with a strong focus on Finance and Project Accounting modules.

Demonstrated experience implementing D365 F&O solutions in the chemical industry (e.g., chemical manufacturing, processing, or distribution).

Strong understanding of finance business processes and accounting standards, including those relevant to chemical and process industries (e.g., inventory valuation, asset tracking, multi-entity financial consolidation).

Experience integrating D365 with other enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, MES, LIMS, EHS systems, etc.).

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the chemical industry (e.g., EPA, REACH, GHS labeling).

Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate) and Azure integration services.

Experience with global or multi-country D365 rollouts.
