Manager - SME Sales
Razorpay was founded by Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur in 2014. Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
The Role:
RazorpayX is looking for a seasoned sales manager who can drive growth & penetration in the Mid market and SME ecosystem(B2B Sales). We are at the cusp of a technology revolution with API banking, Payouts as a solution, Procure to Pay solutions, Accounting integration and much more enabling new age services that make managing finances a truly wonderful experience.The would also be collaborating closely with cross-functional partners (marketing, Product, Technology, Experience and support, just to name a few) in envisioning a robust business for the mid market and SME merchant base. The role would provide opportunities to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever-changing business climate. Focus will be on driving sales via existing products, Go-to-market for new products and overall revenue scaleup.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Drive new acquisitions, retention and revivals for RazorpayX.
- Drive an efficient, driven sales team based on industry best practices on processes. The teams may be a mix of Inside sales and outbound sales teams
- Build, manage and lead the entire Sales function
- Increase business adoption and market penetration in the Mid market and SME sector
- Work on cross-selling and upselling Razorpay’s stack of products to existing customers.
- Track and present key sales metrics and forecast
- Work with senior management, cross-functional teams, recruitment teams and other relevant
- stakeholders to forecast and manage business requirements
- Drive market research, deepen consumer persona understanding and continuously sharpen the sales pitch
- Actively drive client conversations and execute negotiations as and when required.
- Build processes and implement controlling mechanisms for the team.
- Build and set OKRs and KRAs for individuals and for the team.
- Act as the final point of escalation on service and business issues.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of overall professional experience, along with a minimum of 4 years in managing and leading a team.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in managing and leading a Sales team (B2B Sales)
- Experience in leading both Inside sales and outbound sales teams would be preferred
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding established goals.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communications.
- Ability to make decisions in a changing environment, anticipate future needs and drive results.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in a customer facing role.
- Should have worked with customers in managing requirements and engaging in solution selling.
- Prior experience in payments/fintech preferred.
- Experience in B2B, stakeholder management and team management.
