POSITION STATEMENT- The VP of Marketing is responsible for leading and managing the entire marketing department. This is a Brand Marketing role focusing on, Innovation, New Product development, Media and Events (does not include Trade or Digital functions- those sit within the Sales organization). The position reports to the CEO and sits on the Senior Leadership Team. The VP of Marketing will lead all elements of Brand Marketing, including Fine Wine, International, New Product Wine/Spirits development.  Responsible for communicating/updating CEO, SLT and Key Commercial/Operational Stakeholders on Marketing and Innovation initiatives for successful long-term success. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Current duties may be changed if the job requires and/or additional duties may be assigned if necessary.
•    Responsible for leading the Brand Marketing Department – Focusing on Brand, Innovation, New Product Development, Strategy, Media and Events
•    Lead Stella Rosa Brand Management for growth
•    Ensure proper prioritization mix is in place between heritage brands and new items
•    Partner closely with CEO on Marketing Strategy 
•    Work with International Team on Product Development
•    Leads Innovation Incubation Model- Partnering with critical stakeholders.
•    Oversight of Events/Sponsorship strategy and implementation
•    Responsible for leading, directing and training the Brand, Innovation, Media and Events Teams to support Brand Strategy 
•    Collaborate with the Sales (Commercial) team on concepts, platforms, tools for consideration to support the annual plan and measures of success. 
•    Partners closely with the Digital and Commercial Planning Teams to ensure alignment/execution with Brand Strategy
•    Partner with Commercial team to ensure pricing strategies align with brand strategy.
•    Works closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to align on the companies “Route to Market”
•    Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all Brand Marketing efforts with Brand/Innovation Incubation, Media and Events 
•    P and L - Accountable for managing brand, media, and event marketing budgets.
•    Possess strong knowledge of products (wine and spirits, others), wine industry, spirits, alternative beverage, competitive brands, and markets.
•    Cultivate cross-department relationships within the company to include operations, sales, finance, supply chain, human resources, legal and IT. 
•    Exercise the highest level of fiduciary duty to the company in all financial matters including budgets, promotional spending, and every aspect of the Company’s business.
•    Update/Inform Riboli Family/SLT on Key Decisions
•    Required to be in Los Angeles Office Full Time to Lead team and manage stakeholders
•    Job execution will break into following components:
o    50 % of Developing, Leading and Managing Marketing Team (in LA Office)
o    25 % of time spent in Developing, Executing and Managing Brand Incubation Model
o    25 % Oversight of Brand Management & Events 
o    The role will require travel to key planning meetings and events 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
•    A four-year college degree and/or equivalent work experience enabling the incumbent to perform job responsibilities as required. (Equivalent work experience could include supplier, distributor sales or wine industry management jobs).
•    Minimum of 10+ years in the beverage alcohol industry with multiple years of marketing management experience.
•    Required to be in Los Angeles Office Full Time to Lead team and manage stakeholders
•    Good written communication skills: must possess the ability to develop and provide all necessary written reports, correspondence, and presentations necessary to satisfy job requirements.
•    Good oral communication and interpersonal skills; must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Incumbent must articulate in a professional and personable manner in order to be a strong leader and partner internally and with the Trade. 
•    Ability to have fluent knowledge of PC, working within Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and any other company software is critical to the success of this position. 
•    Mathematical skills:  must have the ability to calculate and interpret financial data which affects every day Riboli Family Wine portfolio business.
•    Interpretive skills:  candidate must possess the ability to define problems, establish facts and collect data to interpret issues, draw valid conclusions from the data and recommend solutions to the business problem. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of statistical information.

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to use their hands and eyes for PC use; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The incumbent is required to stand, sit; stoop, kneel, crouch; see, taste and smell wine/spirits products. The incumbent must be aware that the job involves distribution of alcohol beverages and recognizes that the company in no way encourages excessive or unnecessary drinking of alcoholic beverages while exercising the duties of this job. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time, the approximate weight of a case of wine. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•    Current valid driver’s license
•    Overnight travel is required, as needed; must be able to meet minimum requirement travel schedule 
•    Good time-management skills
•    No illegal drug use
•    Employee must comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations which govern the alcoholic 
beverage industry and maintain at all times the highest ethical business standards and fiduciary duty on 
behalf of the company and its customers.

Pay Range

$225,000 - $280,000 USD
