AI Team & Position Overview

Sagard is on a journey to become an AI-first organization. We believe that AI will reshape the workplace by automating repetitive tasks and enabling our teams to focus on high-value, strategic work. To accelerate this transformation, we’re hiring a technical, delivery-focused individual to lead internal AI projects—from idea to impact. You will report to the Head of AI and collaborate with a small, agile team to discover opportunities, build fast prototypes, and drive adoption across investment, finance, and operational functions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the discovery and delivery of AI-driven solutions, identifying internal pain points and turning them into working tools
  • Prototype and implement lightweight AI applications such as RAG systems
  • Improve workflows across teams such as investment research, portfolio monitoring, and memo generation
  • Integrate GenAI tools and products via APIs, low-code platforms, or scripts
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to iterate on solutions, gather feedback, and ensure sustained adoption
  • Enable others by running internal demos, creating cheat sheets, and delivering hands-on workshops
  • Track AI trends and experiment with emerging capabilities to fuel continuous innovation

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 2–4 years of experience in a technical consulting, innovation, or automation-focused role
  • Hands-on ability with scripting (Python, JavaScript), APIs, and working with structured data formats (JSON, CSV, Google Sheets, BigQuery)
  • Practical experience using GenAI tools and building MVPs like RAG systems that solve real business problems
  • Excellent communication skills—able to simplify AI concepts and present to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfort working in ambiguity; scrappy, curious, and biased toward "good-enough" prototypes over perfection
  • Growth mindset and collaborative spirit—passionate about enabling others, sharing learnings, and fostering a culture of experimentation
  • (Bonus) Knowledge of finance or investment processes, or a willingness to learn from subject matter experts
  • Bonus: Bilingual in English and French

Why Join Us

You’ll be part of a small, entrepreneurial AI team shaping how Sagard works. You’ll get to lead high-impact projects, experiment with cutting-edge tools, and help your colleagues discover the potential of AI in their day-to-day work.

Sagard is an equal opportunity employer, which values diversity in the workplace. We are therefore happy to accommodate any individual. If you require accommodation in order to participate in the hiring process, please contact the People & Culture team to make your needs known in advance.

We welcome all applications and wish to thank all candidates for their interest in applying for this position. However, only individuals selected for interviews will be contacted.
