Director, Fundamental Equity Business Development
The Role
We are seeking a talented individual to join Schonfeld as Director, US Fundamental Equity (FE) Business Development. This role serves as the first point of contact for any potential Portfolio Manager (PM), Associate PM, and Analyst. This person will have experience recruiting on behalf of a US Fundamental, long-short business on the buy-side over multiple years. Responsibilities include being a brand ambassador, proactively knowing industry updates, managing relationships over multiple months and years, and acting as the bridge between candidates and Schonfeld. We expect this person to be enthusiastic and entrepreneurial and thrive working in a fast-paced environment as a member of a team.
What you’ll do
- Recruit US Fundamental Equity talent to the firm including PMs, Associate PMs, and Analysts
- Run sourcing process including mapping, target lists, and relationship maintenance
- Interacting with candidates throughout the full life cycle recruiting process – from initial call to becoming an employee of the firm
- Be the go-between in negotiating contract terms with candidates
- Work with existing internal and PMs and analysts to promote Schonfeld culture and facilitate dialogue with senior management
- Represent the firm to external counterparts, specifically Sell Side and Agency partners
What you’ll bring
- 3-7 years work experience in a business development role
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with CRM systems, Backstop preferred
- Passion for the role and industry

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $150,000 and $200,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
