Director of Capital Development, APAC
The Role
The Director of Capital Development, APAC will be responsible for capital raising activity and investor relationship management in the APAC region.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute a business plan with achievable milestones in order to raise capital from highly institutional investors & bank platforms in the APAC region
- Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective investors in APAC
- Work closely with Legal & Fund Accounting teams to anticipate legal or compliance hurdles and ensure timely completion of investment process
- Maintain a prospective investor pipeline and monitor weekly progress in Backstop, including logging client meeting notes
- Participate in weekly team meetings, monthly management meetings, and contribute to team culture by exchanging ideas and collaborating with the global team
- Liaise with sell-side cap intro teams & other service providers in APAC to promote Schonfeld brand
What you’ll bring
What you need:
- Demonstratable experience and success fulfilling a capital raising role in the APAC region; experience in Japan would be highly desirable
- Local language skills; Japanese, Korean and/or Mandarin would be a plus
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with firm constituents including Legal, Operations, Fund Accounting, and the broader Capital Development team to ensure capital raising success
- Knowledge of APAC marketing rules and ability to transact with highest ethical standards
- Results oriented, strategic thinker with ability to execute business plan
- Self-starter with exceptional organizational and planning skills; forward thinker
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize client requests effectively
- "Client service" orientation with a professional presence; strong written & verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems and other technology to create efficiencies for the firm
