The Role
We are seeking a strategic and exceptionally talented Director, HCM Technology to support the firm’s global Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role provides counsel to the global HR team and end users as the HRIS subject matter expert as it develops, enhances, and implements new solutions for optimizing processes.
What you’ll do
The Director, HCM Technology applies best practices for using Workday, creates workflow efficiencies and provides a user-friendly experience for employees, management, and other system administrators. This role is responsible for configuring the system to achieve desired outcomes, manages system maintenance and updates, manages release of upgrades, and supports the integration processes of Workday with other systems. The Director also creates custom reports, dashboards and training and development materials as needed. This role is also responsible for providing desktop support to managers and employees, and for troubleshooting HRIS issues and make amendments as needed to the HRIS and Salesforce to ensure maximum availability of the system.
- Manage and maintain the Workday HRIS, including system configuration, security, data integrity, and cross – platform workflows.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to implement changes, including vendor integrations.
- Lead or participate in HRIS-related projects, including system upgrades, implementations, and integrations with other systems.
- Develop and generate standard and ad-hoc reports to support HR and business needs. Analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Provide technical support and training to HR staff and end-users. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Ensure HRIS compliance with company policies, data privacy regulations, and other legal requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of employee data, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and other changes.
What you’ll bring
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in HRIS administration, with a strong focus on Workday.
- Experience in managing HRIS projects, including system implementations and upgrades.
- Deep understanding of the upstream and downstream workflows of an HRIS.
- Proficiency in Workday modules, including core HR, benefits, payroll, and talent management globally.
- At least 2 years of experience with scripting and interacting with APIs.
- Knowledge of Active Directory
- Knowledge of Information Technology of Data protection
- Ability to keep data integrity, confidentiality, and system security at all times.
- Strong ownership and a track record of delivering results.
- The ability to carry multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $125,000 and $175,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
