Our Opportunity

Snyk, a leader in developer security, has acquired Probely, a modern Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) provider based in Portugal, with coverage of API security testing and web applications.

As a Director, Product at Snyk you will be a senior member of the Product Management team. You will have the responsibility for leading on complex work across an entire product or across multiple product areas, spanning multiple groups/divisions and managing cross-group/cross-divisional dependencies. Within this role you will be consistently demonstrating measurable positive impact from delivering complex initiatives. 

Additionally you will refine and own part of the product strategy, and build out business cases based on the business/revenue opportunities. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, product marketing, and sales teams, contributing to new business creation and driving significant user and organizational impact. This role demands a strong understanding of both the technical and business aspects of product management, making you a recognized expert in the market. 

You’ll Spend Your Time:

  • Collaborating with the leaders to define the long-term vision/roadmap for the overall group.
  • Driving activities to deliver on Snyk’s vision and drive alignment on product strategy and timing.
  • Presenting the roadmap to strategic prospects & customers.
  • Collecting & leveraging customer feedback, user research and data to determine new areas of expansion.
  • Understanding and anticipating customer pain points will allow you to identify new product opportunities and align them with business goals. 
  • Building a deep understanding of the underlying technology and customer pain points, identifying new product opportunities and driving alignment with senior leadership.
  • Acting as a thought leader by driving knowledge sharing and the adoption of industry best practices around Snyk technology.
  • Mentoring and growing other PMs and leading in contributing to ways of working better as a Product Management team. 
  • Driving knowledge sharing and the adoption of industry best practices around technology and market.
  • Driving decision-making across the group and with various strategic stakeholders.
  • Leading opinionated technical discussions with Engineering teams to evaluate different options to evolve the product with the perspective of the overall business in mind.

What You’ll Need:

  • Over 8 years of Product Management experience, ideally with some experience in the DevOps, B2B or SaaS space.
  • Deep knowledge of the competitive landscape, industry trends, or other relevant areas such as pricing strategy.
  • Deep knowledge of product management methodologies and processes.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to present at an expert level.
  • The ability to have a positive impact on multiple areas outside of your remit.
  • Ability to analyze market trends to inform product strategy and ensure competitive advantage.

We’d be Lucky if You: 

  • Background in Cybersecurity or Software Composition Analysis (Open Source).
